Special attention is being paid to the problems of ecology and protection of environment. Science and technology has not only created suitable conditions for mankind on the earth but have also generated a large number of ecological problems. It is surprising to note that advances in physics have not been employed widely in ecology. The authors of this monograph tried to solve this problem and present the reader with prospects of the application of electromagnetic radiation and plasma for solving a number of ecological problems. Special attention is given to the development of radiolocation methods of identification of radioactive contamination of the atmosphere. The second problem is the controlled precipitation of atmospheric contamination. The authors also examine the development of physical methods influencing weather in order to eliminate shortage of water in dry regions.
